Stable One UI 8.5 Update also Available for Galaxy Z Fold 7, Flip 7

Today’s the day Galaxy users have been waiting for. Samsung has officially kicked off the stable One UI 8.5 rollout. After the Galaxy S25 lineup, the update is also available for the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7. It should soon reach more devices.

Earlier today, Samsung ended the One UI 8.5 Beta Program for the Galaxy S25, S25+, S25 Ultra, and S25 FE in Korea. The company pushed the final version to beta participants, with those still on One UI 8.0 expected to receive the update soon. Samsung has now also started pushing the stable version to Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7 users who participated in beta testing.
The 2025 foldables are picking up the One UI 8.5 update with firmware version BZDP. As expected, beta users in Korea lead the line, but a wider rollout shouldn’t be too far off. The devices remain on the April 2026 security patch.
Built on top of Android 16, One UI 8.5 focuses on refinement rather than sweeping changes. The update brings smoother animations, improved system responsiveness, and subtle visual polish across the UI. It also enhances core features like multitasking, privacy controls, and camera processing, while updating Samsung’s stock apps for better consistency and performance.
On foldable devices like the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7, One UI 8.5 further optimizes large-screen interactions, app continuity, and split-screen workflows, making everyday tasks feel more fluid and intuitive.
Samsung is also actively running One UI 8.5 Beta Programs for a bunch of other devices, including a few mid-range models. It may start the stable rollout for them later this month. The update is expected to reach all eligible Galaxy smartphones and tablets by the end of June or by mid-July. Samsung will introduce One UI 9 in late July with the launch of the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Flip 8.
