Samsung may be planning to skip the One UI 7.0 Beta 5 update for the Galaxy S24 series. A noted industry insider says the next release could be the stable version. The company has already confirmed that the stable update will roll out in April.
Galaxy S24 series may not get One UI 7.0 Beta 5
Samsung has been testing One UI 7.0, based on Android 15, since December last year. It has already released four major beta builds for the Galaxy S24 series, alongside two minor hotfix updates. Additionally, the company rolled out the first beta updates to the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 last week. It plans to expand beta programs to the Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy Tab S10 series, and Galaxy A55 later this month.
Meanwhile, Galaxy S24 users have been anticipating at least one more beta release before the stable rollout next month. There are still a few notable bugs or UI inconsistencies that Samsung needs to address. However, it appears the company plans to fix those in the final build without releasing another beta update.
The information comes courtesy of X user @tarunvats33, who has been fairly accurate with One UI 7.0 leaks in recent months. If his report holds true, Beta 4 could be the last before the stable version rolls out. While not completely unexpected, it’s worth noting that Beta 4 arrived at the end of February. Samsung is making Galaxy S24 users sit through March without a new One UI 7.0 update.
That said, it’s wise to remain skeptical, as Samsung’s update schedule can change anytime. If critical bugs are discovered in the coming weeks, another beta update could still arrive before the stable release. We will keep a close eye and let you know as soon as we have more information.
