Samsung today released the first One UI 7.0 beta updates for the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Flip 6. This is the company’s Android 15 update for Galaxy devices. The stable version is set to arrive in April, but beta users can already experience the changes and enhancements. If you are wondering what’s new, we have provided the full changelog below.

One UI 7.0 beta changelog for the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Flip 6

One UI 7.0 brings significant upgrades across various aspects of the Samsung experience, with a strong focus on AI-powered enhancements, a refreshed design, and improved productivity features. Galaxy AI assists with writing tasks, allowing users to correct grammar, change tone, summarize content, and generate text based on a short snippet. Additionally, call transcriptions are now available in the Phone app, making it easier to review conversations.

The UI has been refined with a more sophisticated look, featuring redesigned buttons, menus, notifications, and control bars with a consistent use of curves and circles. Samsung introduced new app icons and widgets with fresh color schemes for a more cohesive appearance. The home screen experience has also been enhanced with a simplified grid layout, improved landscape mode, and greater customization options for app icons and widgets.

Larger folders allow users to access apps more quickly, and the Finder search bar sits at the bottom of the screen. The lock screen introduces Now Bar, which provides quick access to ongoing tasks like media controls, the Interpreter, and Samsung Health. Users can also enjoy a variety of new clock styles, including animated options, and have more control over the placement and size of their lock screen elements.

Additional widgets and shortcuts, such as a QR code scanner, offer greater functionality without unlocking the device. Quick settings and notifications now sit separately for improved accessibility, with a swipe from the top right opening the quick panel and a swipe from anywhere else revealing notifications. You can still switch to an integrated view. Live notifications display real-time updates on timers, voice recordings, and workouts, while a revamped layout ensures easier recognition of grouped notifications.

Redesigned stock camera app

Samsung has enhanced the camera experience with a cleaner layout, making it easier to find and use different shooting modes. A redesigned More Modes menu allows users to switch modes without blocking their camera preview. Zoom controls have been improved, with a new 2x lossless zoom button and smoother transitions in Pro Video mode. The Gallery app introduces freeform collages, editable stories, and motion photo effects such as slow motion and boomerang. Video editing now includes undo/redo options and animated text and stickers.

One UI 7.0 also adds new mindfulness tools to Samsung Health, helping users manage stress and track moods. New achievement badges encourage users to reach fitness goals, while medication reminders ensure they never miss a dose. Additionally, your health records are accessible in one place.

Productivity improvements make multitasking more seamless, with previews for minimized app windows and grouped alarms in the Clock app. The file selection experience has been enhanced with a better-organized file picker, and large-screen devices now display more information in the My Files app. Routines now support If-Else logic and the ability to use data as variables, making automation even more powerful.

Calendar and Reminder enhancements allow users to reschedule events by dragging and dropping them in Month view. A new countdown widget helps track important dates, while reminders now offer multiple repeat dates and an auto-delete feature for completed tasks. Quick add options make setting reminders faster and more intuitive.

Enhanced security and file sharing experience

Sharing and connectivity improvements streamline file transfers. Quick Share now prioritizes frequently used devices and continues transfers over the internet even if you lose a direct connection. Security has also been bolstered with Knox Matrix, which monitors the security status of linked Samsung devices. Auto Blocker provides additional protection against cyber threats, and new power-saving options allow users to fine-tune energy consumption.

Battery protection settings in One UI 7.0 include finer controls, letting users cap their charge between 80% and 95%. Accessibility enhancements make navigation more convenient. A one-finger zoom feature simplifies screen interactions, while the Assistant menu introduces improved touch controls and scrolling options. The Weather app now allows users to label locations and provides forecasts tailored to outdoor activities.

Other refinements include a redesigned Game Booster panel, which offers individual performance settings for each game. Samsung Wallet also makes it easier to add boarding passes. The Video Player now includes a replay button at the end of videos, and the Contacts app has been unified with the Phone app for a more consistent experience. Overall, One UI 7.0 delivers a polished and intelligent experience, with AI-driven features, enhanced customization, improved security, and better integration across Samsung’s ecosystem.
