Samsung has rolled out a new update for Expert RAW, an advanced camera app for Galaxy phones. The latest version doesn’t bring any new features but the company claims image quality improvements and bug fixes. Version 4.0.02.7 of the app is now available via the Galaxy Store and has a file size of 5.51MB, which reconfirms a minor patch rather than a feature update.
Expert RAW update improves image quality and app stability
We recently received a small, 5.51MB-sized, update for Expert RAW on a Galaxy S25 Ultra, introducing version 4.0.02.7. The app listing on the Galaxy Store didn’t contain release notes detailing the changes. However, the same update for Korean users revealed that the update improves the image quality. Samsung didn’t specify what has been improved, suggesting minor optimizations.
Additionally, the new version of Expert RAW addresses some known bugs for enhanced system stability. It’s unclear if these enhancements are targeted at a particular device or if they apply across all compatible Galaxy phones and tablets. We checked on a Galaxy S24 Ultra and the update wasn’t available. Maybe it’s specifically for the Galaxy S25 lineup, we can’t confirm just yet.
However, we can confirm that this Expert RAW update with image quality improvements is widely available for Galaxy S25 users in Korea, India, and other regions. If you haven’t installed the new version yet, head over to the Galaxy Store to check for updates. You can also open this link on your Galaxy phone to install the update from the Galaxy Store.
