At the start of this year, Samsung showed up at CES 2026 and there it dropped what would be coming. In one such one-to-one, TM Roh said price increases for smartphones are “inevitable.” Since then, the company has trimmed preorder perks for the Galaxy S26 series, raised prices in some markets, and made similar moves.

The final nail in the coffin seemed to be the recent price hike for the Galaxy Z Fold 7. In the US, Samsung raised the price of the 512GB and 1TB variants by $80. Then came another increase, this time affecting Galaxy Book laptops, and it doesn’t look like it’s stopping anytime soon.

Galaxy price increases are here, and Tab S11 takes the biggest hit

Folks at PhoneArena highlight as many as 11 Galaxy devices that have now seen price hikes. The biggest jump hits the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra’s 1TB variant, which now costs $280 more than it did just a few days ago. Take a look at the list of affected devices, compiled by 9to5Google:

Across all these devices, the average price increase is about $101 per product. But that number hides an important detail. Most smartphones went up by around $80, while many tablets, especially high-end ones, saw much larger jumps. Overall, the increases aren’t evenly distributed: phones got smaller bumps, while premium tablets became noticeably more expensive.

And if you’re serious about getting a new phone or tablet, there’s no better time than now. Specifically, if you’re considering the Galaxy S26 Ultra, we’ve curated the best deals available right now and update them frequently, so you can take a look and pick what works for you.
