Samsung has long been a leader in home entertainment, creating an unbeatable combination of TVs and soundbars. For 19 consecutive years, the company has held the No. 1 position in the global TV market. A recent market study reveals that Samsung has also led the global soundbar market for the past 11 years.
Samsung held a 20% share in the global soundbar market in 2024
According to market research firm FutureSource, Samsung maintained its No. 1 position in the global soundbar market in 2024. It captured a 20.1% market share in terms of value and 18.4% in volume. This dominance underscores the company’s perfect pairing of cutting-edge display technology and immersive audio solutions, solidifying its reputation as the go-to brand for a superior home theater experience.
Samsung offers a wide range of choices to its TV and soundbar customers. In 2024, the company pushed boundaries by integrating AI-powered sound enhancement, advanced surround effects, and improved connectivity into its latest soundbars. The HW-Q990D soundbar released last year received widespread acclaim for its realistic sound, Q-Symphony compatibility with Samsung TVs, and seamless connectivity.
Samsung’s soundbars have also earned high praise from global media, with many esteemed organizations recognizing its products as the best in the industry. This unmatched entertainment experience helped the Korean behemoth retain the market lead. Every one of the five soundbars sold globally last year was made by Samsung.
The aforementioned HW-Q990D is Samsung’s flagship soundbar offering. It has 11 front-facing speakers, 1 subwoofer, and 4 up-firing channels, supports Wireless Dolby Atmos, and boasts smart services like Built-in Alexa, Chromecast, and Airplay 2. Usually priced at $1,999, this soundbar is currently down $500 to just $1,499, shipping included.
Samsung also has a bunch of other options, starting as low as $99 (with offers). You can check out the full range here. You may score bigger discounts if you bundle a soundbar with a premium TV.
“This is the result of our efforts to deliver an immersive surround experience to consumers. We will continue to introduce products with better sound quality and usability as we have been ranked No. 1 for 11 consecutive years,” said Heon Lee, vice president of Samsung’s Visual Display Business Division.
