Many Galaxy users are still waiting for the stable One UI 8.5 update, but Samsung is already moving ahead with development of its next major software update, One UI 9. Several Galaxy devices have recently appeared with internal One UI 9 builds, and one more has joined the list today: the Galaxy A34.

Galaxy A34 shows up with its first Android 17-based One UI 9 build

First spotted by Tarun Vats, the Galaxy A34 has appeared on Samsung’s European test servers with its first Android 17-based One UI 9 firmware. The build in question carries firmware number A346BXXUFGZF1. Since it is a One UI 9 build, Samsung is using the newer SHA256 hash format instead of the older MD5 format used on previous One UI versions.

The Galaxy A34 joins a growing list of devices that have already surfaced with internal One UI 9 builds. Other models spotted so far include the Galaxy A17 5G, Galaxy A57, Galaxy S25 series, and Galaxy S26 series.

Of course, Samsung has already launched the One UI 9 beta program for the Galaxy S26 trio. As for other devices, no beta builds have surfaced yet. However, the company could start beta testing for some of those in a few weeks.

Samsung should officially debut stable One UI 9 alongside its next line of foldables, the Galaxy Z Fold 8, Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, and Galaxy Z Flip 8. These devices are expected to launch in late July, with sales beginning globally in August. As for existing eligible Galaxy devices, including the Galaxy A34, the rollout could begin towards the final months of the year.

That said, One UI 9 is still in the early stages of development. More devices should appear with internal builds in the coming weeks, and as always, we’ll keep you informed with the latest developments.
