Another day, another One UI 9 leak. Many parts of One UI 9, including the Now Bar, Gallery, Now Brief, several Settings changes and features like Tap to Share, have already surfaced. Now, the Accessibility menu in the Settings app has also appeared, giving us an idea of what to expect with the next One UI 9 update.
Samsung may add new accessibility features in One UI 9
Samsung may introduce a new set of features in the Accessibility section with One UI 9. At the top, there is a “What’s new in One UI 9” heading. Below, there is a list of new features with small descriptions and a “Try it out” button. This makes it easier for users to quickly explore new additions.

Here are the One UI 9 Accessibility features that have surfaced so far:
- Text spotlight: This is a reading enhancement tool. When you tap on text, it highlights and slightly enlarges it to make it easier to read and focus on. You can also customisz the highlight colors and text size.
- Physical keyboard shortcut added: It allows users with external keyboards (Bluetooth or USB) to control accessibility options directly using key combinations. You do not need to touch the phone to toggle these settings.
- More power over mouse keys: This improves cursor control when using a keyboard. You can adjust pointer speed and also use the numeric keypad as an alternative way to control movement.
- Replace swipe with single tap moved: Samsung has made this option easier to access by moving it to the top level of the Interaction and dexterity menu.
- What’s new in TalkBack: While exact changes are not clearly mentioned, it could include improvements to gestures, navigation and overall usability.
That said, this is still early information based on test builds. Final features may change before the official release. One UI 9 is expected to debut around July alongside Samsung’s next generation of foldables. We will keep you updated as more details emerge.
