Samsung is continuing to update its Good Lock suite for One UI 9 as it prepares to expand the new software beyond the Galaxy S26 lineup. The latest apps to gain compatibility are LockStar and NavStar, both of which are among Good Lock’s most popular customization modules. Not many apps are missing One UI 9 support now.

Good Lock’s LockStar and NavStar now work with One UI 9

Samsung has released LockStar version 9.0.00.5 through the Galaxy Store. According to the official changelog, the update makes the app compatible with One UI 9, which is currently available in beta for Galaxy S26 users in some markets. The new version also adds unlock animation support for Flip cover screens.

LockStar introduced unlock animations with its One UI 8.5 update earlier this year. It lets you create custom animations that appear on the screen when you unlock the device. Galaxy Z Flip models supported this function on the main folding display, but not on the external cover screen. The One UI 9 version of LockStar adds support for the cover screen as well (h/t X/@KAILASH61229293).

For other devices, this update doesn’t appear to introduce any new features. The same goes for NavStar, which picked up One UI 9 compatibility with version 9.0.00.11. We didn’t spot any UI changes or additional functions on the new version. Samsung appears to have made changes behind the scenes to ensure the app works properly on its Android 17-based software.

With these releases, the only Good Lock modules missing One UI 9 support are NotiStar, HomeUp, and Game Booster+. Hopefully, these will get updated soon. Samsung will unveil the stable version of One UI 9 alongside its next-gen foldables later this month. A wider rollout for existing devices may begin a month or so later, possibly around September.
