MultiStar is Now One UI 9-Ready with a Handy New Galaxy Z Flip Feature

Samsung has released another Good Lock update as it continues preparing its customization suite for One UI 9. This time, it’s MultiStar receiving the update, bringing enhanced compatibility with the Android 17-based software. The app also introduces a useful quality-of-life improvement for Galaxy Z Flip users.

MultiStar makes the Galaxy Z Flip cover screen more useful

Alongside One UI 9 compatibility, this MultiStar update includes an additional enhancement for Samsung’s clamshell foldables. According to the official changelog, Galaxy Z Flip users can launch supported apps directly from the cover screen without first enabling the Launcher Widget. Previously, accessing apps on the external display required that extra step.

It’s a small tweak, but one that makes the cover screen on Flip phones feel more intuitive and convenient for everyday use. Of course, users first need to enable this feature via MultiStar before they can quickly launch apps on the external display.

This MultiStar update is also another milestone in Samsung’s effort to prepare Good Lock for One UI 9. Over the past few weeks, the company has updated several Good Lock modules to ensure compatibility with its Android 17-based software. Only a handful of modules are now waiting for official One UI 9 support:

• LockStar
• NavStar
• NotiStar
• Home Up
• Game Booster+

Given Samsung’s recent update cadence, these modules are expected to receive compatibility updates before the stable release of One UI 9. The new version arrives with the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Flip 8 models later this month.

Meanwhile, Galaxy users can install the latest MultiStar update from the Galaxy Store or the Good Lock app. The update is rolling out with version 11.1.04. We will let you know when Samsung rolls out One UI 9-compatible updates for more Good Lock modules.
