We have seen tons of One UI 8 leaks and discoveries lately, including a leaked build for the Z Flip 6, and even a GSI that works with many more devices, like the Galaxy S23 and A54. Now there’s even more proof of One UI 8’s existence on the Galaxy Z Fold 7.

Galaxy Z Fold 7 pops up on Geekbench once again

This isn’t the first time the Galaxy Z Fold 7 has appeared on Geekbench, but this is the first CPU test we’ve seen. The Galaxy Z Fold 7 (SM-F966U) contains the same slightly overclocked Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy chipset, running at up to 4.47GHz. This Geekbench result (via KeepUPwithOneUI) shows that it scored 3022 points in single-core, and 9307 in multi-core. This is very similar in performance to the Galaxy S25 Ultra, which gains 3046 in single-core and 9644 in multi-core.

What does this mean for One UI 8?

Well, thanks to the recent leaked build discoveries, this confirms Samsung’s intent on delivering One UI 8 for the launch of the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7 later in the summer. This would mean Samsung would be on time for the Android 16, which is better than the disaster that is the One UI 7 situation. That’s yet to completely roll out, with recent leaks suggesting the rollout will continue until July.

Not only was Samsung more than 5 months late to the Android 15 party, but by the time they thought they were ready to go global, a critical bug brought the entire rollout to a screeching halt. There’s also plenty of inconsistencies, missing features, and some won’t receive the update until July. It’s an incredibly messy launch, but let’s hope One UI 8 turns out better.
