A few days ago, Samsung rolled out One UI 8.5 for the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Flip 7, Flip 7 FE, and TriFold. The company is now pushing another update to its 2025 foldables. The latest release brings the May 2026 security patch, addressing several dozen vulnerabilities.

Galaxy Z Fold 7, Flip 7, Flip 7 FE, and TriFold get Samsung’s May 2026 update

The latest security release is currently rolling out to these foldables in South Korea. The update carries firmware version BZE1 and weighs under 500MB for most models, though the exact file size may vary depending on the device, carrier, and region. A global rollout may begin in the coming days. Note that Samsung typically releases these updates in batches, so users in some regions may get them earlier than others.

Since the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Flip 7, Flip 7 FE, and TriFold recently received One UI 8.5, there do not appear to be any major new features included with this release. The update is all about this month’s security fixes. Samsung’s May 2026 patch includes nearly 40 fixes for vulnerabilities affecting both Android and One UI.

Samsung has already released these fixes for a bunch of other Galaxy devices, including the Galaxy S26 and S25 series. Several mid-range models have also picked up the May 2026 security patch. More devices should receive it in the coming days. The Galaxy Z Fold 6, Flip 6, and Galaxy S24 series should be the next in line.

Samsung is also actively expanding its One UI 8.5 rollout to more devices. Debuted with the Galaxy S26 series, this update brings new features, visual refinements, and Galaxy AI improvements to Galaxy smartphones and tablets. If you haven’t received it yet, you should soon. You can manually check for the update by heading to Settings > Software update > Download and install.
