One UI 8.5 is Rolling Out to Galaxy S23 Series in Global Markets

Samsung has begun a wider rollout of One UI 8.5 for the Galaxy S23 series. The update first arrived in Korea earlier this week and is now available in Europe, Australia, and India, and potentially more global markets. Users in the US should get the update soon.
Galaxy S23 series gets One UI 8.5 in more regions
A few days ago, Samsung pushed the stable version of One UI 8.5 to the Galaxy S23, S23+, S23 Ultra, and S23 FE. As expected, the rollout began in South Korea, which is where the company tends to release new updates first. Now, the update has arrived for the flagship trio in many other markets. The Fan Edition model shouldn’t be left too far behind.
One UI 8.5 for the Galaxy S23 flagships in Europe, Australia, and India carries firmware version FZDP. Samsung should soon roll out the update in more markets, including the US. The build version may vary (it was FZDT in Korea), but expect the same changelog everywhere.
Speaking of which, One UI 8.5 focuses less on dramatic redesigns and more on refining the overall Galaxy experience. The update introduces smoother system animations, faster app transitions, and a cleaner visual style across core apps and menus. It also improves multitasking and adds better privacy controls, accessibility options, and battery optimizations.
Samsung has also expanded Galaxy AI features with smarter writing assistance, improved voice tools, improved photo editing, and more contextual suggestions throughout the interface. Overall, One UI 8.5 feels more polished and responsive, continuing Samsung’s push toward a more fluid and intelligent software experience.
This update will gradually reach many other Galaxy devices in the coming weeks. Samsung has already updated most of its flagships launched since 2023. However, several budget and mid-range models are still waiting for it. Stay tuned as One UI 8.5 rolls out to additional devices.
