When it rains, it pours — and that’s certainly true for Samsung’s One UI 6.1.1 updates. The company has been rolling out the update to multiple devices simultaneously. Hot on the heels of the global expansion of One UI 6.1.1 for the Galaxy S22 and Tab S8 lineup, the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Flip 4 are getting this big feature update. It is available in India, Europe, and a few other regions.

One UI 6.1.1 for the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Flip 4 expands globally

Samsung released One UI 6.1.1 for its 2022 foldable duo in South Korea last week. It was expected to begin a global rollout early this week, and it has. The Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Flip 4 are receiving the update in Europe and India with the firmware build numbers F936BXXU8GXH9 and F721BXXU8GXH9, respectively. The phones are also getting the September security patch.

One UI 6.1.1 will soon roll out to the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Flip 4 in other markets, including the US. It brings new AI features and tons of other changes and improvements to the devices. Samsung has already updated dozens of other models, including all 2023 and 2024 flagships. Some features aren’t compatible with new models, though these foldables are getting most of the goodies.

The Sketch to Image feature is one of the amazing new AI tools you’ll find on your Galaxy phone or tablet following the One UI 6.1.1 update. It lets you draw non-existent objects on your photo or turn rough sketches into proper drawings. The tool works best with the S Pen, though it is also compatible with Galaxy devices that do not support the stylus accessory.

You can check out our One UI 6.1.1 guide for more details on the new features. This update breathes a new life into your Samsung device. The Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Flip 4 are also picking up the September 2024 security patch for enhanced security. The latest release fixes 67 vulnerabilities across the Galaxy family, including a critical one. Samsung will soon roll out this update to other eligible devices.
