Samsung’s Galaxy Tab S10 FE Series Gets One UI 8.5

After the Galaxy Tab S11 series, Samsung has released the One UI 8.5 update for the Galaxy Tab S10 FE lineup. Both the base and Plus models are getting the update in Korea, with a wide rollout expected early next week. Samsung has already updated dozens of Galaxy smartphones to One UI 8.5.

It’s typical for Samsung to prioritize smartphones when it comes to software updates. Tablets, including flagship models, usually join the party only after the company is done updating all recent eligible smartphones. Unsurprisingly, the Galaxy Tab S11 flagships didn’t get One UI 8.5 until this week, a whole two weeks after the Galaxy S25 lineup.

Now, Samsung is rolling out the big update for the Galaxy Tab S10 FE and Galaxy Tab S10 FE+. The new firmware carries firmware build version CZE3 in Korea (via X/@Alfaturk16), though it could change in other regions. The package weighs roughly 2.8GB, which reflects the number of changes and improvements included.

One UI 8.5 focuses on refining the overall Galaxy experience with smoother animations, cleaner app layouts, better multitasking behavior, and improved accessibility throughout the system. This update also makes better use of the larger screen area on tablets, while improving app scaling and navigation. Additionally, One UI 8.5 improves several AI-powered tools, including writing assistance, voice processing, and contextual suggestions.

Alongside new One UI 8.5 features and improvements, the update also brings Samsung’s May 2026 security patch to both Fan Edition tablets. The company should soon kick off a global rollout. As usual, users can manually check for the update by going to Settings > Software update > Download and install on their tablets. Since the rollout is happening in phases, availability may vary depending on the region and model variant.
