Galaxy S26, S25 Get Second April 2026 Update in the US

A couple of weeks ago, Samsung rolled out a second April 2026 update for the Galaxy S26 series in select markets. The new release is now available in the US as well. Additionally, the Galaxy S25 lineup is picking up its second update of the month stateside. A global rollout may follow in the coming days.

Second April update rolling out to the Galaxy S26 and S25 in the US

Galaxy S26, S26+, and S26 Ultra on Verizon’s network are receiving a new update with firmware build version AZDG. This is the second update for the phones this month, and it comes with a vague changelog. It only mentions the April 2026 security patch, which rolled out early in the month. There are no signs of new features or major functional improvements.

As said earlier, Samsung has also rolled out two April 2026 updates for the Galaxy S26 series in select other markets. Maybe the company is pushing some bug fixes or optimizations for a smoother performance. The latest release could arrive in the remaining parts of the world soon.

Meanwhile, Samsung has also released a new update for the Galaxy S25 lineup, including the Edge model, in the US. This is the second April release for the 2025 flagships as well. We do not have any reports of this update anywhere else, though that could change anytime now.

It’s worth noting that some Galaxy S26 and S25 users have complained about battery drain and camera issues after the original April patch. While we cannot confirm if Samsung has fixed those issues with the new release, there may be some improvements. We will let you know when we have more information.
