Galaxy S25 Ultra surfaces on Geekbench with 8GB RAM, raising eyebrows
Geekbench listings for Samsung’s 2025 flagships so far suggest the company is testing the US versions with a slower Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chip than the global version. It has two prime cores clocked at 4.19GHz and the other six at 2.90GHz. The faster one offers speeds of 4.47GHz and 3.53GHz. Fans are wondering if the commercial units will have the same differences.
Meanwhile, the US version of the Galaxy S25 Ultra recently appeared in a new Geekbench listing, and it didn’t impress anyone. As expected, it features the slower Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 processor, resulting in poor benchmarking scores. But that’s not the biggest concern. The listing also showed only 8GB of RAM, compared to the 12GB seen in other listings on the platform.
A slower chip coupled with less RAM only makes the matter worse. However, you probably shouldn’t be worried. We believe it’s a fake entry. It’s relatively easy to fabricate Geekbench runs, and someone must have done just that to mess with Galaxy fans. At worst, it’s an internal test from Samsung for benchmark purposes. The Galaxy S25 Ultra shouldn’t come with 8GB of RAM anywhere.
If rumors are accurate, Samsung will introduce a 16GB RAM variant to its Ultra flagship next year. It’s expected to offer at least 12GB RAM on all three Galaxy S25 models. The new flagships should also bring display and camera upgrades. Expect leaks and rumors about the upcoming Galaxy phones to grow in the coming weeks as Samsung continues development and testing.
