Samsung has been rolling out the June 2026 security update at full speed, and a bunch of Galaxy phones and tablets have already received it. Now, the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 are joining the list, with both devices picking up the June 2026 update.
June 2026 security update hits Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Flip 5 in Korea
Samsung has started rolling out the June 2026 security update to the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 (via Galaxy Alerts on X). The update is currently live in South Korea, and it should expand to more regions soon. It carries firmware versions ending in GZF2.
If you’re in South Korea, you can install the update right away. Just head to Settings > Software update > Download and install. The installation may take a few minutes, after which your phone will reboot with the latest security patch installed.
The June 2026 security update includes fixes for 45 security vulnerabilities affecting Android, One UI, and Exynos chips. It addresses five critical and 28 high-severity Android vulnerabilities, along with several Samsung-specific security issues.
