A few days ago, Samsung prematurely listed the Galaxy A27 5G on its website before taking the page down. The company has now officially unveiled the smartphone in select markets, including the US. It comes with a starting price of $349.99.
The Galaxy A27 5G comes with several compelling features
The Galaxy A27 5G features a slim 7.8mm body and a refreshed Infinity-O display with a punch-hole cutout for the front camera. The phone boasts a 6.7-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED panel with a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. Thanks to the reduced and more balanced bezel, the display offers an immersive viewing experience.
Samsung equips the Galaxy A27 5G with Qualcomm’s 4nm Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chip. The processor is paired with up to 8GB of RAM and up to 128GB of internal storage (memory configuration depends on the markets). You can expand storage by up to 2TB via a microSD card.
In the camera segment, the Galaxy A27 5G sports a triple-camera module on the rear. The setup consists of a 50MP main sensor with OIS, a 5MP ultrawide unit, and a 2MP macro lens. On the front, we get a 12MP camera that offers natural-looking selfies in different lighting conditions.
Samsung has also bundled a bunch of smart capabilities with the Galaxy A27 5G. For example, the Object Eraser tool provides more natural-looking edits, while the Voice Recorder app can transcribe and translate recordings in up to 22 languages. Thanks to Circle to Search with Google, you can identify multiple items in an image at once.
The Galaxy A27 5G comes preinstalled with One UI 8.5 (Android 16) out of the box, promising up to 6 generations of Android OS upgrades. Moreover, you will get six years of security updates. Other features include a 5,000 mAh battery with 25W fast charging, an IP64 rating, and Samsung Knox Vault security protection.
Samsung will make the Galaxy A27 5G available in the United States starting July 14. You will be able to buy from the company’s online store (pricing starts at $349.99). The phone comes in a single Black color option stateside, though some markets get more choices, including Blue, Light Green, and Light Pink.
