Samsung has earned top honors in the US Consumer Reports’ latest television ranking. The company’s OLED TVs secured first position in the key screen-size segment thanks to their solid performance in picture quality, sound, and more. This highlights the Korean firm’s strong position in the premium TV market.

Consumer Reports gives Samsung OLED TVs top honors across key sizes

Consumer Reports is a leading US nonprofit consumer organization that conducts independent product testing. The organization assesses TVs based on several factors, including picture quality, HDR performance, viewing angle, sound quality, brand reliability, data privacy, and data security. Testing helps consumers make better purchasing decisions.

In its June evaluation of televisions, Consumer Reports ranked Samsung’s 77-inch OLED S95H first in the 70-inch-and-above category. The model earned a score of 91 points. Meanwhile, the 55-inch OLED S95H also secured the top spot in the 55- to 60-inch segment with 90 points.

Furthermore, the 77-inch OLED S95H received an “excellent” rating for picture quality. Consumer Reports praised the TV’s ability to reproduce fine details and deliver top-level color accuracy. The organization also noted that skin tones appear natural and vivid.

Consumer Reports also pointed out the TV’s contrast performance and black-level reproduction. The display delivers a perfect contrast ratio, showing the difference between the darkest blacks and the brightest whites. The organization said that the screen’s deep black levels create a strong sense of depth.

The TV received favorable feedback for its HDR performance. The display’s high peak brightness improves the realism of 4K content. It also maintains picture quality from nearly any seat, which makes it perfect for group viewing. The organization praised the TV’s smooth motion with almost no afterimage.
