Galaxy S25 Ultra Gets Ocean Mode and Virtual Reflector

Samsung is now rolling out a useful update that brings some missing elements to the Galaxy S25 Ultra. A few weeks ago, during Galaxy Unpacked, Samsung announced Ocean Mode for the Galaxy S26 Ultra, and it’s now rolling out to the Galaxy S25 Ultra as well.
Expert RAW update brings Ocean Mode, Virtual Reflector to Galaxy S25 Ultra
Those running One UI 8.5 beta on the Galaxy S25 Ultra can update to the latest Expert RAW app version 5.0.08.2. It brings Virtual Reflector and Ocean Mode to the Galaxy S25 Ultra. The former basically mimics studio lighting, so your photos don’t end up with harsh shadows or weird dark patches. Think of it as a smart light boost that makes shots look more balanced and polished, especially in tricky lighting.
The second feature is Ocean Mode, which fixes common underwater issues like color loss and blur. Photos come out sharper and more vibrant, even near pools or beaches. To install it, just open the Galaxy Store, search for Expert RAW, and hit update. If you don’t see it yet, it might be rolling out in phases, so give it some time.
Chances are the Galaxy S24 Ultra might be next in line to receive these camera updates, but nothing can be said yet. For what it’s worth, there isn’t much difference in camera hardware between recent Ultra models, so holding back these features would likely be an arbitrary limitation. Samsung built Ocean mode for coral reef projects, and it probably wasn’t meant for regular users. But here we go.
