Samsung’s Galaxy Ring may soon get two new sizes, taking the total to 11 sizes. The company hasn’t officially announced this size expansion but a reliable industry insider claims the ring will come in sizes 14 and 15 “in the coming weeks”. The new smart ring is currently available in sizes 5 to 13.
Galaxy Ring might get two additional sizes soon
Samsung launched the Galaxy Ring alongside a host of other products at the Unpacked event in Paris in July. Later that month, the company opened sales for the ring in nine sizes (5 to 13) in several markets. It recently released the wearable in a few more countries, including Brazil and Mexico.
As expected, this expansion didn’t bring new sizes or colors. However, tipster Max Jambor recently said that Samsung has two larger variants of the revolutionary smart ring in the pipeline. “The Galaxy Ring will be available in two additional sizes, 14 and 15, in the coming weeks,” Max posted on X.
As of this writing, Samsung has not provided an official confirmation about the new size variants. But if the official launch is indeed scheduled in early October, we should hear more about it soon. The tipster didn’t mention anything regarding changes in color or price. The Galaxy Ring comes in Titanium Black, Titanium Silver, and Titanium Gold colors and is priced at $399 in the US.
The bigger sizes may offer bigger batteries, though. The Galaxy Ring features different battery capacities based on its size. For a quick recap, sizes 5 to 7 have a 17mAh battery, sizes 8 to 11 have an 18mAh battery, and sizes 12 and 13 come with a 22.5mAh battery. Other features, such as heart monitoring, sleep tracking, and period monitoring, will remain unchanged.
Designed for 24/7 wear, the Galaxy Ring provides continuous, comprehensive health monitoring. To ensure proper fit and accurate health measurement, Samsung offers a sizing kit for those unsure about their ring sizes. Currently, the sizing kit includes nine sizes (5 to 13). It is unclear if this kit will be updated to include the new size options once launched. We will keep you posted.
