Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Fold 8 Ultra Appear Next to Galaxy S26 Ultra in New Leak

Samsung’s upcoming foldables have leaked from almost every angle over the past week. We’ve already seen detailed specifications, camera hardware, and even the official case lineup. Now, a fresh set of renders offers another look at the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Fold 8 Ultra, including a size comparison with the Galaxy S26 Ultra.

The new images come from reliable tipster Ice Universe, who shared renders of both upcoming Fold models. One of the images shows the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Fold 8 Ultra next to the Galaxy S26 Ultra, giving us a true-to-scale size comparison of the three devices.

Despite unfolding into a mini tablet-sized device, the Fold 8 appears surprisingly compact when closed, looking only slightly wider and noticeably shorter than Samsung’s flagship slab phone. The Fold 8 Ultra, on the other hand, still has that tall and narrow footprint when folded.

Another image shows the wide model in folded and unfolded states, once again compared to the S26 Ultra. We have seen a similar comparison from the same source before (see the second image below).

There’s one more image showcasing the Galaxy Z Fold 8 opened and closed, further highlighting its noticeably wider proportions compared to previous Fold models. The wider cover display should make the device feel more like a conventional smartphone when folded while providing a more comfortable typing experience.

Samsung hasn’t officially announced these foldables yet, but the launch appears to be just around the corner. Multiple reports, including recent developments within Samsung’s own ecosystem, point to a July 22 Galaxy Unpacked event. The company is offering vouchers for “next foldable” and “next wearable” for users in some regions, with vouchers redeemable beginning on July 22.
