Samsung released the June 2026 security update for the Galaxy S24 series in South Korea last week. Now, the company has started the global rollout of the One UI 8.5-based June update, bringing the latest security fixes to more users. It also released the update for the Galaxy A57 in some regions.

Samsung’s 2024 flagships grab June 2026 update globally

Samsung has begun rolling out the June 2026 security patch for the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, and Galaxy S24 Ultra in Europe. The update arrives with firmware versions ending in DZF2 and should expand to more markets like India and the US over the coming days. The Galaxy S24 FE should join the main flagship lineup soon.

Unlike the Galaxy S25 series and Z Fold 7, the S24 lineup does not receive any new Galaxy AI features with this update. Samsung recently introduced features like Prioritize Notifications, Notification Summaries, and File Summaries on its 2025 flagship and foldable devices through the June 2026 update, but those additions remain limited to newer models, at least for now.

The June 2026 security patch, meanwhile, fixes 45 security vulnerabilities identified by Samsung, Google, and other industry partners. While there are no major new features, it is worth installing the update to keep your device secure and running smoothly.

Galaxy A57 also gets this update

This month’s security fixes are also available to the Galaxy A57 in some regions. Like other models, this phone should also get the June 2026 update in global markets in the coming days.

If you own a Galaxy S24 or A57, you can check for the update by heading to Settings > Software update > Download and install. As for the next major feature update, Samsung has already started Android 17-based One UI 9 testing for these devices. The stable release will arrive later this year, possibly during the last quarter.
