Samsung has started rolling out the June 2026 update to the Galaxy S25 series and Galaxy Z Fold 7 in the United States. Alongside the latest security patches, this update also brings a handful of new AI features and improvements. Users in the remaining markets should get it soon.

Galaxy S25 and Fold 7’s June 2026 update is more than just a security release

This month’s update for the Galaxy S25 series and the Fold 7 is more than just a security patch. It brings a few additional features that Samsung didn’t push with One UI 8.5 last month. To be precise, the update introduces Prioritize Notifications and Summarize Notifications, which help declutter your notification feed by surfacing the most important alerts and generating summaries of key notifications.

Additionally, these devices get File Summaries, an AI feature integrated into the My Files app. It generates concise summaries of PDF documents, text files, and voice recordings saved on your device. The idea is to help users quickly understand lengthy documents or recordings without having to open the file.

Samsung first released this update for the Galaxy S25 series and the Fold 7 in Korea. Now, it has begun a global rollout, with users in the US leading the charge. The update is live for carrier-locked S25 models and the unlocked Fold 7 on select networks. Users can identify the new firmware with the build version ending in CZF1 (S25) and BZF1 (Fold 7). As usual, the build version may vary depending on the model and carrier.

On top of the new features, the devices get a bunch of security fixes too. Users can check for the update manually by opening Settings > Software update > Download and install. If the update isn’t available yet, don’t worry. Samsung typically rolls out firmware in phases, meaning some devices may receive it a few days later than others.
