Samsung has integrated cutting-edge AI tools into its workforce. The company deploys ChatGPT Enterprise and Codex to its employees around the world. This is part of the ambitions for a full-scale “AI Transformation (AX)” across its operations.

Samsung gives its employees a powerful AI upgrade for productivity

OpenAI said its ChatGPT Enterprise and Codex will be available to all Samsung Electronics employees in South Korea. The tools will also be accessible to employees worldwide in the Korean firm’s Device eXperience (DX) division. Samsung will use them for both technical and non-technical work to improve employee productivity and problem-solving capabilities. These include software development, marketing, product development, manufacturing, and more.

ChatGPT Enterprise will let employees easily search for and analyze information, draft documents, develop ideas, and interpret data. The platform also offers enterprise-grade security, data protection, and access management features for the safe use of AI.

Meanwhile, Codex will help developers write, review, and debug code. In addition, it is useful for non-technical teams to build internal tools, create websites, and automate workflows. As a result, employees can easily bring their ideas into productivity solutions.

“This historic deployment for OpenAI is particularly significant because Samsung Electronics, a global leader in technology and manufacturing, is embracing AI not as a tool limited to certain teams or functions, but as a core platform for improving how employees around the world work and innovate,” said Harrison Kim, General Manager of OpenAI Korea.

The deployments of AI tools further deepen Samsung’s relationship with OpenAI. The two companies are already collaborating in the field of global AI infrastructure. The Korean firm supplies cutting-edge memory semiconductors for the AI giants’ next-gen AI systems.

It is worth mentioning that Samsung also adopted Google’s Gemini and Anthropic’s Claude into its work environment. This will allow the company to give employees greater flexibility depending on their specific tasks and work requirements.
