Galaxy M37 Battery Capacity and Color Options Emerge Ahead of Launch

It’s no secret that Samsung is working on a fresh Galaxy M model, the Galaxy M37. Now, a new report has tipped the phone’s battery capacity and color options. This gives us an early glimpse at what you can expect from the Korean firm’s upcoming mid-range offering.
Galaxy M37 may get a bigger battery than its predecessor
Samsung recently refreshed its mid-range smartphone lineup with the Galaxy A37 and Galaxy A57 in markets like the US. However, the company now plans to expand its Galaxy M series with at least two models, the Galaxy M37 and Galaxy M47. The former will succeed last year’s Galaxy M36, while the latter will revive its M4x lineup after a long gap.
Last month, India’s BIS certification platform listed battery models for the Galaxy M37, suggesting that Samsung is developing the device. However, the listing did not reveal the battery’s capacity. Now, SamMobile claims the upcoming smartphone may feature a 5,882 mAh battery (rated). The publication expects the company to market it as a 6,000 mAh battery (typical).
If the report turns out to be true, this would be a big upgrade over the Galaxy M36, which packs a 5,000 mAh battery. The predecessor supports 25W fast charging, but with the rumored increase in battery capacity, it wouldn’t be surprising to see Samsung bump the charging speed to 45W for the successor.
In addition, the report sheds light on the color options Samsung plans for the Galaxy M37. The smartphone may come in four shades: Black, Gray, Light Blue, and Silver. So, buyers will have plenty of choices when picking up the device.
Speaking of the rest of the specs, the Galaxy M37 could share a lot in common with the Galaxy A17 and the upcoming Galaxy A27. If that’s the case, the phone could sport a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels. It could also sport a 50MP main camera and a 13MP selfie unit.
Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy M37 alongside the Galaxy M47 later this year. We’ll let you know if more details about the upcoming Galaxy M models surface on the web.
