Samsung expands stable One UI 8.5 rollout globally for Galaxy S24 lineup

Samsung has started rolling out the stable One UI 8.5 update for the global variants of the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, and Galaxy S24 Ultra. The update has reached the โ€œBโ€ variant in regions like India and Europe, including the United Kingdom. The firmware versions end in DZDP and DZDR, depending on the model. The update package weighs over 4.2GB for non-beta users, though the size may vary by market. The Galaxy S24 FE is expected to join the release soon as well.

One UI 8.5 is based on Android 16 QPR2 and brings several UI refinements across the system for a cleaner and more polished Galaxy experience. The update introduces a few new features and smoother animations in many areas. Furthermore, it brings a more circular design language across One UI. Samsung has also improved overall fluidity and made parts of the interface feel more intuitive.

Samsung has also started rolling out the stable One UI 8.5 update for the Galaxy S23 series and Galaxy A56 in Korea. A wider rollout for those devices is expected later this week or early next week. As for the broader rollout timeline, the company could continue expanding One UI 8.5 to all eligible Galaxy devices until around the end of July. This is based on previous rollout patterns.

If you own a Galaxy S24 device, you can check for the stable One UI 8.5 update by going to Settings > Software update > Download and install. Once the update finishes downloading, tap Install now. Your device will reboot, and you will have the One UI 8.5 changes installed.
