This Could Be Our First Look at Galaxy S26 FE — the Camera Bump is Hard to Ignore

Samsung’s next Fan Edition smartphone, the Galaxy S26 FE, may have just made its first appearance online. A newly discovered certification listing appears to show the real device, though the design looks a bit off, casting some doubts over its authenticity. The phone isn’t expected for another few months.
Galaxy S26 FE shows up in real-life photos, but the camera bump feels slightly awkward
The Wireless Power Consortium (WPC) recently certified the Galaxy S26 FE (model number SM-S741) with Qi2 (version 2.2.1) support. This basically means the device is Qi2-compatible, but it’s unlikely to include built-in magnets. Instead, Samsung will rely on external magnets embedded into compatible cases. The company does this for its entire Galaxy S26 line.
Besides confirming Qi2 wireless charging, the WPC also listed what looks to be an official render of the Galaxy S26 FE. Like the rest of the lineup, the phone features a raised camera island. Samsung previously relied heavily on a minimalist camera layout featuring individually protruding camera rings, but it’s now redesigning Galaxy phones to allow for internal upgrades.
While the Galaxy S26 FE’s overall design remains unmistakably Samsung, the placement of the camera module stands out. The raised housing appears positioned extremely close to both the top edge and the left side of the phone. Rather than looking centered and balanced, the entire camera assembly seems pushed tightly into the corner of the device.
As a result, the whole rear design of the phone feels a little awkward. Perhaps the device shown in the image isn’t a production-ready unit but a near-final prototype. We’ll know for sure in the coming months as Samsung continues working on the Galaxy S26 FE internally. The official launch is expected between September and October this year.
