Galaxy Z Fold 8 Case Surfaces Alongside Wide Fold Comparison

We recently got a look at a protective case for Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Z Wide Fold, giving us a glimpse at its wider form factor. Now, the regular Galaxy Z Fold 8’s case has also emerged, showing the familiar design language. In addition, a separate video compares the cases for both foldable models.

Galaxy Z Fold 8 case shows a familiar foldable design

Samsung is reportedly gearing up to launch two book-style foldable smartphones this year: Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Galaxy Z Wide Fold. CAD-based renders have already given us an early look at both devices. While the Z Fold 8 could stick to a similar foldable design as previous generations, the Z Wide Fold is said to adopt a wider profile.

Now, newly surfaced cases further backed those design anticipations. As you can see in the images below, the Galaxy Z Fold 8’s protective case features a raised camera cutout on the rear. The phone (enclosed in the case) features a triple-camera layout arranged vertically. We can also see a single camera cutout at the top of the cover screen.

The magnetic circular ring on the case suggests the Z Fold 8 could be Qi2-Ready, just like its predecessor, the Z Fold 7. This means the device may support wireless charging with a compatible case.

Meanwhile, the comparison video of the Z Fold 8 and Z Wide Fold cases shows the differences in their design language. The Wide Fold’s case appears wider than the regular Z Fold 8, suggesting a remarkably broader cover display and an inner screen. This form factor could give a tablet-like experience when unfolded.

Both Galaxy Fold models could go official alongside the next-generation clamshell foldable, the Galaxy Z Flip 8, at an event on July 22 in London.
