Samsung Galaxy Weekly Updates Roundup (April 26-May 3)

Samsung was expected to release the stable One UI 8.5 update for Galaxy S25 users in South Korea this week, but that did not happen. The stable rollout has now been delayed. However, the company stayed busy with multiple One UI 8.5 beta releases for devices like the Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy S24 FE, Galaxy S23 FE, Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy A55. On the security side, the April 2026 update continued expanding to more Galaxy devices as we approached the end of the month. Last updated on May 3.
One UI 8.5 beta expands further while Galaxy S25 stable rollout faces delay
Starting with the Galaxy S25 lineup. Samsung was expected to begin the stable One UI 8.5 rollout for its 2025 flagship series in South Korea this week. However, the company missed that expected timeline. As a result, the release is now likely pushed to next week, which could also mean Korea and global markets may receive the update around a similar period.
As for beta activity, this week remained very active. Samsung rolled out the second One UI 8.5 beta update for its 2023 flagship and foldable lineup. The Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 started receiving Beta 2 in select regions.
For Fan Edition (FE) devices, Samsung also expanded testing further. The Galaxy S24 FE received its third One UI 8.5 beta update, while the Galaxy S23 FE picked up its second beta release.
Samsung also pushed One UI 8.5 beta 2 updates for several midrange Galaxy A series devices, including the Galaxy A35, Galaxy A36, Galaxy A54 and Galaxy A55. These updates mainly focus on bug fixes, smoother performance and improving the software before stable rollout begins.
Samsungโs latest tablet lineup, the Galaxy Tab S11 and Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra, also received their third One UI 8.5 beta update in Korea. This update introduced features like Call Screening, Creative Studio and fixes for Samsung DeX-related issues.
On the security side, Samsung continued expanding the April 2026 security patch to more devices. This update fixes 47 vulnerabilities identified by Samsung, Google and partner companies. Here is the list of devices that picked up April 2026 updates this week.
