Samsung is preparing to launch several Galaxy devices later this year, including its flagship tablet lineup — the Galaxy Tab S12 series. Now, the Tab S12 Ultra has appeared on Samsung’s internal servers, suggesting that testing is already underway.

Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra appears on test servers with One UI 9 build

Samsung is expected to launch two flagship tablets this year: the Galaxy Tab S12+ and Tab S12 Ultra, skipping the base model. The Ultra recently appeared on test servers in India with the firmware build number X946BXXU0AZDN. As of now, there is no similar server activity for the Plus model.

Both the Galaxy Tab S12+ and Tab S12 Ultra were previously spotted on the GSMA IMEI database in February, confirming their existence. Now, with server listings showing up, development seems to be progressing further.

Samsung has also moved from MD5 to SHA256 hash for its One UI 9 and newer firmware test builds. This suggests that the device is running Android 17-based One UI 9 internally.

As for specifications, there is limited information so far. The Galaxy Tab S12+ is expected to feature a 12.4-inch display. On the other hand, the Tab S12 Ultra could come with a large 14.6-inch display. Both models may be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 or Dimensity 9500+ chipset. The Tab S12+ could pack a battery of around 10,600mAh, while details for the bigger Ultra model are still unknown.

In terms of pricing, the Galaxy Tab S12 series could start at around $1200, although this is not confirmed yet. The launch is expected around September this year based on earlier releases.

We are still a few months away from the official launch. More details regarding specifications, features, and pricing should surface in the coming months, giving us a clearer picture of what to expect.
