Another Thursday, another One UI 8.5 beta release. Following the Galaxy A35 and Galaxy A55, the Galaxy A54 is getting early access to One UI 8.5. Samsung has launched the beta program for the A54 in India, with a few other markets likely joining soon.

Samsung releases One UI 8.5 beta for Galaxy A54

After appearing on test servers with a beta build earlier this month, the One UI 8.5 Beta Program is now live for the Galaxy A54. Users in regions like India have started receiving the update. The package is over 2.7GB in size and includes the April 2026 security patch, with the build number ending in ZZD5.

As of this writing, there is no information on a beta release for the Galaxy A34. The device has not appeared with any One UI 8.5 beta build so far and may not get beta access. The Galaxy A56 is also expected to skip the beta program. Therefore, the Galaxy A35, Galaxy A54, and Galaxy A55 may remain the only A series models to receive One UI 8.5 beta updates.

Samsung uses beta programs to gather user feedback, fix issues, and improve overall stability before the final release. The company usually rolls out multiple beta updates for each model to refine the experience.

If you own a Galaxy A54 and live in an eligible region, you can join the beta through the Samsung Members app. Look for the beta banner, register, and you should receive the update soon. Once available, go to Settings > Software update > Download and install. After downloading, tap Install now to complete the process.

After installation, your device will run One UI 8.5 beta, letting you try new features and changes before the stable release. Before installing, make sure to back up your data. Beta builds can be unstable and may include bugs, so having a backup is a good idea.
