Galaxy A55 Joins One UI 8.5 Beta Program in Korea

Samsung has been rolling out One UI 8.5 beta updates to a bunch of Galaxy devices recently. Just today, the Galaxy A35, Galaxy S23 FE, Galaxy Z Fold 5, and Galaxy Z Flip 5 joined the beta program, while a few others received a new round of the One UI 8.5 beta. Now, the Galaxy A55 is joining the One UI 8.5 beta party.

One UI 8.5 beta goes live for Galaxy A55 in Korea

The One UI 8.5 beta program is now live for Galaxy A55 (Quantum 5) users in Korea, as first reported by Tarun Vats. It comes about a week after it was spotted on internal servers running a beta build. Those in Korea can head to the Members app and install the latest beta update if they want to get a taste of the upcoming software.

After following the on-screen instructions in the Members app, you’ll soon see the update arrive. Head to Settings > Software update > Download and install > Install now. The installation will take some time, and then your Galaxy A55 will be running the latest beta update.

Now that the Galaxy A55 One UI 8.5 beta is rolling out in Korea, there’s a good chance it’ll come to more regions in the coming days. We’ll keep you posted when that happens. And if you’re wondering, no, the One UI 8.5 beta program isn’t available yet for the Galaxy A56, though the Galaxy A57 comes running the latest One UI 8.5 stable build.
