Some Galaxy S25 Ultra Users Start Seeing Battery Health & Cycle Count

by | Feb 2, 2025 | Galaxy S, News

Samsung is keeping up its promise of seven years of software updates with the Galaxy S25 series. But with all those updates, the battery is bound to wear out over time. Luckily, Samsung has made it easier to check battery health. Right after the launch, someone shared a screenshot of the Battery Information, which includes cycle count, on the Galaxy S25 Ultra, showing what’s new.

Galaxy S25 Ultra users in the UK already have the Battery Information page

We haven’t been able to spot the Battery health and cycle count details on our Galaxy S25, S25+, or S25 Ultra yet. But thanks to @AdamleeTs92 (via Tarun Vats), we now know it is available — at least on the Galaxy S25 Ultra. A shared screenshot shows key details like Battery capacity, Battery health, Battery cycle count, Manufacture date, and First used date. Vats mentions it’s currently available to UK users running build S938BXXU1AYA1.

Samsung hasn’t said when/how this will roll out to more users, but an OTA update will probably fix it.

As mentioned, we couldn’t find the battery health stats on any of our Galaxy S25 phones. But you should check if it’s available for you by heading to Settings > Battery. Here, you’ll find Battery health (in percentage), Cycle count, the Battery’s manufacturing date, and First used date. More likely than not, Samsung will roll this out widely in an upcoming update. I doubt this will stay region-specific, like plenty of features we’ve seen before.

That said, it’s unclear whether the feature will stay exclusive to the Galaxy S25 series or come to other Galaxy phones. The former seems more likely, but whatever happens, we’ll know once One UI 7.0’s stable version starts rolling out to eligible devices.
