Samsung has earned recognition at the Red Dot Design Award, one of the world’s top design honors. The company’s OLED TV and Bespoke AI Laundry series received the “Best of the Best” awards for innovative design concepts. In addition, it won 16 awards across different product categories.

Samsung recognized for design excellence at Red Dot Awards

The Red Dot Design Award shows honors in three areas: Product Design, Design Concept, and Brands & Communication Design. Samsung’s S95H OLED TV model received the “Best of the Best” award, mainly because of its FloatLayer design. It blends an ultra-thin OLED display with a metal plate. As a result, the OLED screen looks like it is floating in front of a silver metal frame. The TV also fits naturally into interior spaces, resembling a premium piece of wall art.

Meanwhile, Samsung’s Bespoke AI Laundry series won the “Best of the Best” award for its unified design. It uses a mono-body concept, so washing machines and dryers adopt a consistent look. The appliances also feature a 7-inch smart screen for a simplified control experience. It provides a simple interface for managing washing settings.

Apart from the top honors, Samsung’s 16 submitted products were recognized as winners at the Red Dot Design Award. The list includes Music Studio 5, The Movingstyle, Bespoke AI Refrigerator Family Hub, Bespoke AI Jet Bot, Bespoke AirDresser, and Bespoke AI Ice Water Purifier. Other winning products are the Bespoke AI WindFree Pro Air Conditioner, Jet Fit, and Bespoke AI WindFree Combo Gallery Pro Air Conditioner.

The latest foldable phone, Galaxy Z Fold 7, the extended reality headset, Galaxy XR, and the glasses-free 3D display, Spatial Signage, also joined the winners’ list. Moreover, the 5G Street Radio Solution and the Portable SSD T7 Resurrected were recognized at the design award.

“We design not only to function, but to create meaning and connection,” said Mauro Porcini, President and Chief Design Officer (CDO) of the Device eXperience (DX) Division at Samsung Electronics. “Our ambition is to enrich people’s lives through experiences that are both purposeful and deeply human.”
