Samsung has shown its support for overseas staff with premium Galaxy devices amid regional tensions. The company has sent care packages worth about 5 million won ($3,500) each to around 500 employees in the Middle East and their families. Its chairman, Jay Y. Lee, personally led the proposal.

Employees could choose between two options

According to a report from Sedaily, Samsung has provided support to 500 affiliate employees in the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia. In these regions, the company continues its operations despite regional instability. As a result, the firm has acknowledged the dedication of staff working in difficult circumstances while easing concerns for their families.

Samsung allowed employees to choose either the Galaxy Book 6 Pro or a device bundle comprising the Galaxy S26 Ultra (512GB) and the Galaxy Tab S11 (Wi-Fi, 256GB). Furthermore, the company gave gift vouchers to families so they can use them in traditional markets and small local businesses.

“I extend my deepest sympathy to the employees and families who are enduring great hardship due to the unexpected situation in the Middle East,” said Lee. “I sincerely thank you for your dedication under such difficult circumstances.”

Samsung previously offered similar welfare packages in different instances. For example, during the COVID-19 pandemic, the company provided gifts to thousands of employees across its operations. This includes support for staff in quarantine and for pregnant women working from home. Moreover, the firm sent care packages to the families who could not come home during the pandemic.

Speaking of the premium devices, the Galaxy Book 6 Pro is the company’s latest high-end laptop. It features the Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processor with an integrated vapor chamber (16-inch model). Meanwhile, the Galaxy S26 Ultra is the firm’s most advanced smartphone yet. As for the Galaxy Tab S11, it debuted last year in September with multimodal AI capabilities.
