Samsung may introduce One UI 7.1 with the Galaxy S25 series. While it is currently beta testing One UI 7.0, new leaks suggest the upcoming flagships could launch with an updated version. Still based on Android 15, One UI 7.1 should include additional features, such as new AI tools. Older models should also receive this update.

One UI 7.1 is in the pipeline, most devices might skip One UI 7.0

Samsung usually introduces One UI x.0 with its major Android updates and follows up with One UI x.1 at the next Galaxy S launch. However, a delayed release of One UI 7.0 this year — the big update is still in the beta phase and doesn’t arrive until the Galaxy S25 launch — hinted at One UI 7.1 being potentially dropped. That doesn’t seem to be the case.

New versions of some Samsung apps have been leaked recently, with the release notes indicating One UI 7.1 support. These versions aren’t available for Galaxy S24 users running the latest One UI 7.0 beta built. This suggests the company will release them with the next update, which is likely to follow the tradition and debut with the Galaxy S25 series.

But what does this mean for One UI 7.0? As mentioned above, Samsung has already confirmed plans to release the stable version after the Galaxy S25 launch. However, by then, it might have introduced One UI 7.1. This indicates the company will directly roll out the new version to other eligible models, like the Galaxy S24 series.

This appears more probable when you look at Samsung’s One UI 7.0 beta plans. It hasn’t released the beta update for any other device beyond the Galaxy S24 lineup. The plan could be to deliver One UI 7.1 to everyone, skipping One UI 7.0. We will keep a close eye on these developments and let you know when we have more information.
