It feels like games are following me everywhere I go. Whether I’m catching up on the latest headlines from The New York Times (hello, Wordle!) or browsing through LinkedIn, they’re there. And as if they weren’t enough, Samsung News is now bringing its popular trivia game, The Six.
Samsung News brings TV’s The Six trivia game
If you own a Samsung TV, you might already be familiar with The Six. For those new to it, it’s a game that challenges you with daily trivia questions. You have to answer six questions across various topics. Now, you might wonder — if everyone gets all the answers right, how is the scorecard calculated? Simple: speed is the key. The faster you answer, the higher your score climbs on the leaderboard.
Starting today, The Six is available in the Samsung News app for users in the US and Canada. If you don’t see the feature yet, try updating the app or refreshing your feed. While it feels like games are popping up everywhere, these mini-games do offer a fun way to deliver quick, essential information.
“As a fan-favorite game, we’ve seen the popularity of The Six on our Smart TVs and are excited to bring this engaging experience to millions of mobile devices,” said Avner Ronen, Samsung VP of Product Development. “Samsung’s commitment to broadening access to all types of gaming content and providing more ways for people to play continues to make our devices a top choice for players.”
Moreover, since The Six is launching within the Samsung News app, I’d say it’s targeting the right audience. People who already spend time catching up on daily headlines might not mind sticking around for a few extra minutes to play an informative game. In addition, Samsung has hinted at introducing “more ways to play” on the Samsung News app soon.
