Samsung May Roll Out One UI 8 Beta 6 for Galaxy S25 Series

Earlier this week, Samsung released the fifth One UI 8 beta update for its Galaxy S25 series. It looks like the Korean firm is now gearing up to drop the sixth beta build as the final test of the Android 16 software. This could push the stable release to late September, meaning non-beta users will have to wait a few more weeks.

The latest One UI 8 beta build for the Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra addresses a host of known issues. These include fixes for the purple moon problem, hotspot connection errors, overlapping between Quick Settings and the Notification panel, and more. The build carries the firmware version ZYH6 with an over 1.7GB OTA package for the Ultra model.

While many were hoping the fifth beta would be the last, Samsung appears to be taking additional caution for the smooth rollout of One UI 8. As spotted by tipster Akhilesh Kumar, the company recently listed a new beta build for Galaxy S25 Ultra on its test server. The build in question is ZYH9, which may bring another round of fixes before finalizing the stable release.

Interestingly, Samsung is gearing up to roll out the second One UI 8 beta for the Galaxy S24 series, carrying the same ZYH9 build. This synchronized update strategy might allow the company to test identical fixes and improvements across two generations of flagships. More importantly, it could also allow the Galaxy S24 series to reach the stable channel just a few days after the Galaxy S25 series or even simultaneously.

Samsung says it will roll out the official version of One UI 8 in September, starting with the Galaxy S25 series. While the company may stick to the timeline, the presence of a new beta build suggests the stable release may not happen until late next month.
