Samsung is reportedly preparing an overall wellness scoring system for Samsung Health. The fitness tracking app may bring a Health Index feature, displaying users’ health status as a single score. It could arrive through an update in July or August 2026.

You could soon see your overall health as a single score

For the uninitiated, Samsung Health lets users track essential wellness data, including sleep, heart rate, calorie intake, and more. The platform plays nicely with Galaxy wearable devices, including the Galaxy Watch and Galaxy Ring, to collect biometric data throughout the day.

Samsung now appears to be preparing a new AI wellness experience for Galaxy users. According to a report, the company may integrate a “Health Index” feature into its health tracking platform. The feature could merge a bunch of health indicators into a single score.

The system may use AI to examine biometric data such as sleep quality, stress levels, heart rate, blood oxygen saturation, and activity levels. While separate health metrics may still be present, the idea appears to be giving users a quick picture of their wellness condition.

For example, the algorithm may decrease the overall score when users experience poor sleep, high stress, or insufficient recovery. On the other hand, if the user maintains healthy routines, such as proper rest and regular exercise, the score may increase over time.

Samsung is reportedly gearing up to debut its next-gen Galaxy Watch lineup in July 2026. So, it would not be surprising if the Health Index ships first with the upcoming wearables out of the box. The company may later roll out the feature to older eligible Galaxy Watch models via a software update.

Right now, Samsung Health’s Energy Score feature provides personalized wellness recommendations based on several factors. These include sleep quality, physical activity, sleeping heart rate, and heart rate variability. Industry watchers believe the upcoming Health Index could expanded version of this existing feature.
