Galaxy A27 Leak Suggests Samsung is Planning a Hefty Price Hike

Samsung’s Galaxy A27 is nearing its official debut. While the company has yet to announce a launch date, leaks have already revealed much of what to expect. Most of the details have painted a promising picture of the upcoming mid-ranger, but the latest leak may dampen some of the excitement. Samsung could be preparing a noticeable price hike for the Galaxy A27, at least in some regions.
Galaxy A27 could cost noticeably more than the Galaxy A26
A new leak has revealed the European pricing of the Galaxy A27, and the numbers suggest that Samsung could be raising prices compared to its predecessor. According to information shared by reliable tipster Roland Quandt, the device will cost €349 for its base variant with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The higher-end variant with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage could cost €439.
To recall, the Galaxy A26 was priced at €299 and €369, respectively. This means we are looking at a price hike of up to €70 (approx. $80) for the Galaxy A27. If Samsung maintains a similar pricing strategy in the US, expect the phone to cost upwards of $349 (the Galaxy A26 started at $299).
The increase may be linked to rising component costs, particularly memory and storage chips, which have seen significant price fluctuations over the past year. Several smartphone companies have raised prices in recent months. Samsung itself launched the Galaxy A57 and A37, as well as the Galaxy S26 series, at higher prices in some regions. It also increased the prices of some older models recently.
Samsung may try to justify a hike for the Galaxy A27 with key upgrades. The new phone is expected to sport a more premium design with a punch-hole display, replacing the notched design. It may also get a newer selfie camera, plus a more powerful processor and other improvements. The device should ship with One UI 8.5 and receive six generations of Android OS upgrades. Stay tuned for its official launch.
