Samsung is preparing to launch several new Galaxy devices in the second half of the year, including the Galaxy A27. The device will join the company’s 2026 mid-range lineup, headed by the Galaxy A57 and A37. While we still do not have an official launch date, the Galaxy A27 has appeared on Thailand’s NBTC certification platform, revealing that Samsung is clearing regulatory approvals ahead of launch.
Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy A27 passes NBTC certification in Thailand
First spotted by Gadget Listings, Thailand’s National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC) has certified the upcoming Galaxy A27. The listing clearly mentions the marketing name “Galaxy A27” along with model number SM-A276B/DS. The “B” confirms this is the global variant, while “DS” points to dual-SIM support.

The Galaxy A27 has also appeared on the GSMA IMEI database, India’s BIS certification, Geekbench, and Samsung’s own internal test servers. All of this suggests that development is moving ahead steadily.
As for the phone itself, the Galaxy A27 is expected to bring a noticeable redesign compared to the Galaxy A26. It will have a more modern and minimalistic look. On the front, the device could feature a 6.7-inch FHD+ display with slimmer bezels. Also, it could have a 12MP punch-hole selfie camera, replacing the older, cheap-looking waterdrop notch design.
Around the back, Samsung is expected to add three vertically placed camera lenses in a raised camera plateau. Meanwhile, the LED flash sits separately on the body. The rear setup could include a 50MP main camera with OIS, a 5MP ultrawide lens, and a 2MP macro camera.
Under the hood, the Galaxy A27 is expected to pack the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset, a 5,000mAh battery, and 25W fast charging. The phone should ship with One UI 8.5 based on Android 16 QPR2 out of the box, and like most other recent Samsung phones, it is expected to receive long-term software support.
Samsung could unveil the Galaxy A27 sometime around July or August. We’ll keep an eye on the latest developments and update you as soon as more details surface.
