A few days ago, Samsung announced that all its business operations will adopt external generative AI tools. The company now integrates ChatGPT, Gemini, and Claude into its DX (Device eXperience) division. Starting tomorrow (June 12), employees within the division will be able to use these tools in their work.

Samsung allows DX employees to use three leading AI platforms

Samsung is introducing a full-scale “AI Transformation (AX)” strategy to improve productivity across teams. The company has adopted three leading generative AI platforms in its DX Division (consumer-facing business unit). OpenAI’s ChatGPT, Google’s Gemini, and Anthropic’s Claude power the firm’s AI environment.

The reason Samsung uses multiple AI tools is to offer flexibility to employees. They can choose the tool depending on their specific tasks. The company is concerned about the possible security risks of using external services. To address this, it has built a security system to reduce risks.

Samsung evaluated the effectiveness of these tools with around 2,500 employees. This move will allow the company to support improvements in work productivity while bringing innovation in working methods. It will also help employees to make faster decisions and improve overall organizational execution capabilities.

Samsung expects the initiative to boost the business competitiveness of its DX division in the global market. As such, the company will be able to deliver customers better products and an excellent service experience.

“The adoption of externally generative AI is not merely about providing AI as a work tool, but is a starting point that fundamentally changes the way we work and the speed of our execution,” said Samsung Electronics CEO Roh Tae-moon. “By creating an environment where every employee can utilize the AI best suited for their work, we will enhance execution capabilities across the entire organization beyond individual productivity, and through this, elevate the business competitiveness of the DX sector to the next level.”
