A few days ago, a leak revealed the European prices for Samsung’s upcoming foldables, hinting at a major hike across the board. A fresh leak now gives us the Galaxy Z Flip 8, Fold 8, and Fold 8 Ultra’s pricing structure for Korea. Unsurprisingly, the devices are set to cost more in Samsung’s home country as well.

Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Flip 8 Korean prices leak

According to a report from Bloter, citing information from South Korean mobile carriers, the upcoming foldable trio could carry the following price tags in the country:

  • Galaxy Z Flip 8
    • 256GB: KRW 1,683,000 (around $1,099)
    • 512GB: KRW 1,936,000 (around $1,264)
  • Galaxy Z Fold 8
    • 256GB: KRW 2,278,000 (around $1,487)
    • 512GB: KRW 2,531,000 (around $1,652)
  • Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra
    • 256GB: KRW 2,577,000 (around $1,682)
    • 512GB: KRW 2,830,000 (around $1,847)

(Prices converted from KRW to USD using an exchange rate of $1 = 1,532.10 KRW)

Compared to the recently leaked European pricing, these figures appear considerably lower. However, that cannot be an accurate comparison. Galaxy foldables have always cost less in Samsung’s home market than in the US or Europe. We get a more realistic picture when we look at the Korean prices of last year’s Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7.

  • Galaxy Z Flip 7
    • 256GB: KRW 1,485,000 (around $969)
    • 512GB: KRW 1,643,400 (around $1,072)
  • Galaxy Z Fold 8
    • 256GB: KRW 2,379,300 (around $1,553)
    • 512GB: KRW 2,537,700 (around $1,656)

(Prices converted from KRW to USD using an exchange rate of $1 = 1,532.10 KRW)

As you can see, the new Flip sees a price hike of roughly $130 in Korea. The Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, which succeeds the Fold 7, sees a similar hike for its base model. The 512GB variants of both devices get an increase of roughly $190. This pricing structure closely matches the one for Europe, giving us a fair idea of where the market is headed in terms of prices.

The same report also confirms Samsung’s next Galaxy Unpacked on July 22, 2026. And as expected, the Galaxy Z Flip 8, Galaxy Z Fold 8, and Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra will hit store shelves on August 7.
