Samsung has finally released its Android 15-based One UI 7.0 beta for Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 devices. However, there is something for Galaxy S25 users too. One UI Home, the official launcher for Samsung Galaxy devices, has received a new update on Galaxy S25 devices. The update mainly focuses on providing a smooth experience for its users.
Install One UI Home v16.0.02.1 on your Galaxy S25 for a smoother experience
The latest version of One UI Home is v16.0.02.1. For now, the update is only rolling out for Galaxy S25 series users running One UI 7.0. Tipster Tarun Vats describes the update as delivering an “incredibly smooth experience.” As we know, one of the main focuses of One UI 7 is the optimization of system animations. Samsung is working to offer a more fluid and responsive user experience. This is noticeable on devices with high-refresh-rate displays as these displays can show the smoothness of the animations more effectively.
If you are still using the One UI Home version v16.0.01.3 on Galaxy S25, you should update to the latest version, v16.0.02.1 (as mentioned above), for a smoother experience. In order to update to the newest version, you can tap and hold on the home screen and then press settings. Now look for the About Home screen option at the bottom. You’ll find your current One UI Home version there.
If an update is available, your phone should automatically install it or prompt you to download it. However, if the latest version does not appear on your device, you can also install it using the APK file. Thanks to Vats for uploading the APK file on Google Drive. That said, we do not recommend sideloading apps unless necessary. This update should be available to all Galaxy S25 users soon. It’s better to wait for the official release/
In related news, Samsung has started rolling out the March 2025 security update for its devices. The security update will soon be available for Galaxy S25 series owners.
