In the coming weeks, Samsung will take the wraps off its latest Galaxy Watch lineup. These will debut running the upcoming One UI 9 Watch software, based on Wear OS 7, which Google announced during the recent I/O 2026 keynote.
It’s been nearly a year since One UI 8 Watch beta arrived
A rumor now claims that Samsung is planning to launch the One UI 9 Watch beta program. For what it’s worth, the One UI 8 Watch beta program kicked off last year in mid-June, so it’s about time anyway.
Considering Samsung follows the same pattern as previous rollouts, we can expect the One UI 9 Watch beta to arrive in June. More importantly, Samsung usually restricts One UI Watch beta programs to Korea and the US.
The Galaxy Watch 8 series will be the first to get a taste of the upcoming beta, after which other eligible Galaxy Watches will receive the update in the aforementioned regions.
The tipster who suggested that One UI 9 Watch is underway has also shared what it might include. According to which, the update will focus on improved AI features and better health tracking. Samsung could expand Galaxy AI on smartwatches. It may offer predictive health reports and clearer insights based on user activity.
Additionally, Samsung is working on improving its BioActive sensor, which tracks heart rate, blood oxygen, and body composition. These changes could make readings more accurate and reliable, especially during workouts and sleep tracking.
Most importantly, Samsung hasn’t officially announced anything yet. That leaves room for speculation, but it’s highly likely that the One UI 9 Watch beta could launch soon. We’ll keep tabs on when that happens, so stay tuned.
