One UI 7.0 Music Player Borrows A Page From iOS in New Leak

by | Nov 28, 2024 | News, One UI

The One UI 7 beta update is coming soon, and the internet is flooded with rumors and leaks. To be fair, this has been the case for a few months now. However, the latest leaks are more likely to make it into the final version of One UI 7.0. One such leak shows a revamped One UI 7.0 music player, which appears to draw inspiration from the iPhone’s design.

One UI 7.0 could pull an iPhone-like music player

Earlier this month, some reports claimed that One UI 7.0 could introduce a lockscreen music player similar to iOS. However, it was too early to say, especially since we hadn’t yet experienced the first One UI 7.0 beta rollout. As we get closer to the final release, another leak supports the previous report, and we can now see the revamped music player in One UI 7.0. We’re just hoping it makes it to the final version.

The leak reportedly comes from Ice Universe on Weibo, who says they received the information from “foreign media” that “leaked One UI 7 lock screen music design” [translated]. Ice Universe has a solid track record with such leaks, so anything coming from them is worth considering.

Though it’s highly likely that the feature will make it to the One UI 7.0 beta, if not the final version, we still advise taking this with a grain of salt until more reports surface. Or perhaps Samsung will surprise us with an early release of the One UI 7.0 beta. Fingers crossed!

One UI 7.0 Beta is expected to arrive in a few weeks

If the latest rumors are accurate, Samsung is expected to debut the One UI 7.0 beta in the first or second week of December. It will likely first roll out to the Galaxy S24 series, followed by the S23 series and other devices. We’ll keep you posted.
