A now-deleted Reddit post reveals what appears to be a One UI 7.0 internal build for the S24 Ultra, based on the recent beta release for the Z Flip 6 and Fold 6. While this may appear as a 5th beta, the details are extremely murky, and should be taken with a heavy dose of salt. With that in mind, let’s take a look at the details we have.
What does this One UI 7.0 internal build contain?
We’ve reached out to the OP of the reddit post directly for some more info, including screenshots. This confirms it is the same build as the recent Z Flip/Fold6 beta. The Media player appears as a live notification in both the Now bar settings and under the notifications panel. Details like the thicker battery icon and the wider quick settings toggle back this up. The OP also reveals no changes to the Galaxy AI suite, keeping the exact same features as before.
Any other changes aren’t clear, as the OP didn’t receive a changelog. Why was that? Well this is where the details get murky…
This isn’t a beta build, or even a public build.
According to the OP, the device this is running on is a pre-production S24 Ultra, AT&T locked, obtained from a family member working for AT&T. He had apparently flashed public firmware to the device, in order to lock the bootloader, but had received this OTA nonetheless.
As for the OTA update itself, it came in at over 5GB in size, and had a build number ending in BYBI, notably not a beta firmware number, which starts with Z rather than B. It also contains the March security patch.
Just to re-iterate, this should be taken with a pinch of salt. We don’t know how accurate this information is, whether it will release as a fifth beta release, or be held as a stable release. But this could suggest a release is imminent. We’ve reached out to Samsung for comment, and we will share an update if they respond.
