What is a Samsung Mystery Box?

by | Jun 5, 2024 | Deals, News

One of our most popular reader appreciation programs here at Sammy Guru is the free Samsung Mystery box when preordering a new Galaxy smartphone. To clear up some of the questions many people have surrounding the boxes, we’ve created this guide to clarify how the program works, why we do it, how we can afford to do it, and more. We will also briefly discuss which products are included in the boxes, how we randomize the boxes, and other key aspects. Read on if you’re interested in participating in the current Z Fold 6/Z Flip 6 program or future mystery box program.

What is a Samsung Mystery Box program?

The mystery box program is an opportunity we (Jeff Springer and the Sammy Guru brand) offer to our website readers, newsletter subscribers, and Youtube subscribers who preorder new Samsung devices at launch. We offer free mystery boxes at each Samsung launch, containing a free case, cleaning kit, and other accessories/goodies.

Why do you do this?

We want to give back to the Samsung community that supports us, and we are also able to earn a small amount of revenue from our Samsung affiliate links used in the mystery box program. We use 70% of the revenue earned from each launch to reinvest to future mystery box launches, so we make only about 30% profit from the purchase you make through our links on launch day. All shipping cost is included, so you pay nothing to receive a mystery box!

What are the requirements to get a free mystery box?

To get a mystery box at launch, you need to do a few things:

  • Click on our Samsung affiliate link on launch day to make your Galaxy device purchase. You can receive the links either through our email newsletter or through Laylo via text message. We send the links as soon as they are live on launch day, much earlier than most people have access. This also gives you an advantage of placing your order before the rush starts and Samsung’s website crashes.
  • Fill out the verification form we send out on launch day to everyone (via the newsletter). The form will just ask for a screenshot of your Samsung order ( we do not need the order # or billing info visible, just a screenshot showing which devices you ordered.) The verification form will also be live here on our website on launch day if you miss the newsletter email.
  • That’s it, once you complete the verification form (which will ask for your shipping address), your box will be shipped a few weeks later. We cover all shipping costs and you pay $0, zilch, nothing for the items in the box.

Can I order more than one mystery box?

Absolutely yes! If you order more than one phone from our Samsung link, please claim additional boxes. You will need to fill out the verification form once for each order, and show the requisite screenshot for the additional device ordered. This aids in our logistic process when shipping.

Which specific products are included in the mystery boxes?

Every mystery box is guaranteed to include a free case, cleaning kit, and desktop phone stand. We now offer the option to swap the phone stand for a different accessory. Those accessories will include lens protectors, speaker grill dust covers, and car chargers. We will send out an accessory preference sheet to those signed up at least 1 week in advance of the launch date.

There are also a number of premium products included randomly throughout the total number of mystery boxes. These include Amazon gift cards, Google Play Gift Cards, and our new silver, gold, and platinum tickets. These tickets are redeemable for free Galaxy Buds, a free Galaxy wearable, or even a free Galaxy smartphone!

All of the boxes are randomized using random.org and we do not know which boxes will receive tickets ahead of time. The boxes ship 2-3 weeks after the official phone launch.

Are Phones the Only Qualifying Devices?

No, you can receive a mystery box for the Galaxy Watch or Galaxy Ring device as well. These boxes include slightly different items, but will still include a number of surprises like gift cards and also qualify for random insertion of silver, gold, and platinum tickets!

Hopefully this answers just about everything. If you have other questions about the mystery box sign up, early links, Laylo, or anything else, feel free to get in touch with us via email before the next Unpacked event on July 10, 2024
